About Us

Meet Owner Buck Vickery:

Boats have been a big part of Buck’s life from the very start. Growing up in coastal Georgia, Buck was around boats as a kid and after high school he followed his passion and began working at a local marina.

While working at two different corporate marina groups, Buck was educated on the boat business from bow to stern. He worked in a multitude of roles, allowing him a thorough training. After working his way up from a dockhand to a forklift operator, and then a dockmaster, Buck was promoted to General Manager where he spent eight years running a marina in Savannah.

After thirteen years of working for corporate marinas, Buck decided to take the leap to start his own business. Since 2011, Buck had been detailing boats. His passion for offering clients great service and helping keep their boats in great shape, naturally led him to opening his very own detailing business, Vickery Marine.
